KENOSHA, Wis.
A new trial starts Monday for Mark Jensen of Pleasant Prairie who had a murder conviction against him vacated. A jury in Kenosha County convicted Mark Jensen of first-degree murder back in 2008, for poisoning and killing his then-wife in 1998.
Almost two years ago, the Wisconsin Supreme Court ordered a new trial for Jensen, to not include evidence of a letter his wife gave to a neighbor before she died. The Kenosha County Court vacated Mark Jensen’s sentence. Mr. Jensen maintains his innocence.
