Effective May 4, 2026.

This Privacy Policy describes how Cafferty, Scheidegger and Johnson S.C. (the “Firm,” “we,” “us”) handles information collected through our three websites:

A single policy applies to all three (collectively, the “Sites”).

What we collect

  • Information you submit. Contact-form fields (name, phone, email, the message you choose to include) and any documents you attach.
  • Server and security data. IP address, user agent, request timestamps, and Cloudflare Turnstile signals, retained briefly for spam and abuse prevention.
  • Cookieless analytics. Aggregate page-view counts via Cloudflare Web Analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site trackers.

How we use it

We use submitted information solely to respond to your inquiry, to schedule a consultation, and (if we agree to represent you) to provide legal services. We do not sell, rent, or share information for marketing.

Service providers

The Sites are hosted on Cloudflare, protected from spam by Cloudflare Turnstile, and deliver contact-form email through Amazon SES. Each provider processes data under its own privacy commitments and only as needed to operate the Sites.

Confidentiality before engagement

Submitting a contact form does not create an attorney-client relationship and is not protected by attorney-client privilege. Privilege attaches only after we agree, in writing, to represent you. Please do not include sensitive case details in initial inquiries.

Retention

We retain inquiry records only as long as reasonably necessary to respond. If we represent you, client records are kept in accordance with the Wisconsin Supreme Court Rules governing attorney records.

Your choices

You may request that we update or delete information we hold about you by using the contact form on racinelaw.com. We respond within 30 days. Residents of jurisdictions with stricter laws (e.g., California, the EU) may have additional rights, which we honor on request.

Children

The Sites are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of any of the Sites after a change constitutes acceptance.
